Amin Younes is without a club and has approached Borussia Mönchengladbach. However, a contract with that club is not on the table, as stated by sporting director Nils Schmadtke.
Gladbach is Younes' former club, which he left to sign for Ajax in 2015. Younes (who played for FC Utrecht on loan last season) is currently without a club after his contract with Al-Ittifaq was terminated. He reached out in Germany to see if he could join training sessions.
A return as a contracted player is "not an issue," Gladbach informed Kicker. "Amin is without a club and asked if he could keep himself fit. Because Amin has been a part of the club for years, we said 'yes' to that. He will have the opportunity to train with us but will not receive a contract."
"I want to be the old Amin again and reach my limit," Younes recently said. "The level I showed during my two years at Ajax and in the early period at Napoli, and also at Eintracht Frankfurt. I feel very good, I want to attack again and have fun on the pitch. I don't want to commit to a specific league. Of course, the Bundesliga is always attractive, and I closely follow that league."
