'Micky played fantastically today,' said the twice-scoring Son in front of Viaplay's camera. 'I really enjoy watching him play. All season long. We understand each other well, also because we both speak German.'

Son, who still needs to familiarize himself more with the last name of his Dutch teammate, believes that Van de Ven has what it takes to progress further in his development. 'He has the potential to grow to a higher level. I love him as a player and as a person. He is still young and has yet to develop.'

The 31-year-old South Korean made history on Sunday. With his two goals, he now has six goals in the London derby against Arsenal. With that, he surpasses Gareth Bale, Thierry Henry, and Robin van Persie, all of whom scored five times in the North London derby.
