Antony secured a regular starting position throughout the season and seems ready to hold on to it in the upcoming season.
Frenkie de Jong, €86 million
Frenkie de Jong left Ajax in the summer of 2020 for a dream transfer to FC Barcelona. The entire European elite pursued the midfielder, but his destination of choice was clear. Barcelona paid a fee of €86 million to secure the signature of the Dutchman. His time at Barcelona has had its ups and downs. Almost every week, his name is linked with a transfer, but both he and the club claim that a departure is out of the question. Last season, the Dutchman emerged as an irreplaceable asset for the team.
Matthijs de Ligt, €85.5 million
Matthijs de Ligt also departed in the 2019/2020 season to pursue his dream in Serie A.
