Erik ten Hag refuses to throw in the towel at Manchester United after the difficult start to the season. The Dutchman stated in the press conference that he has full confidence in a turnaround.
With a third place in the Champions League group, an eighth place in the Premier League, and an elimination in the League Cup, things are not exactly going smoothly for Manchester United this season. Ten Hag knows that the pressure is on, but he looks forward to the Saturday match against Fulham with confidence. 'We have to win, that's clear and I'm not shying away from it.'
Ten Hag denies that his team is broken and keeps morale high. 'The players are positive. They want to set things right and they know what it takes. We have now had two major setbacks, but we will fight back. The dressing room is strong, the staff is strong, and this manager is strong.'
When asked about the need for additional reinforcements in the transfer market, Ten Hag says he does not consider it necessary. 'We have a very good squad. I am convinced of this team. We have already shown last year that we can do much better. I have to take my responsibility and get them playing that way again. Although we haven't shown it in the last few games, I still think we are very hard to beat.'
