Due to Yankuba Minteh's injury, Feyenoord coach Arne Slot can revert to his so-called Champions League lineup. This means that against Lazio, Calvin Stengs will start as a winger rather than in midfield.

In the previous Champions League match against Atlético Madrid, Slot already opted for more midfield control by fielding Ramiz Zerrouki instead of Stengs. The midfielder, who came from FC Twente, also starts in the home match against Lazio. He forms the midfield alongside Mats Wieffer and Quinten Timber.
