On Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo contributed with a goal to Al-Nassr's 3-1 victory in the Arab Club Champions Cup. In the quarterfinal match against Moroccan side Raja Casablanca, he was responsible for the opening goal.
Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr finished second in Group C and thus faced the winner of Group D, Raja Casablanca. After just over a quarter of an hour, Ronaldo put his team in the lead. He received the ball at the edge of the sixteen-yard box and skillfully struck it with his left foot.
Nowadays, Ronaldo is no longer the sole superstar on the field during Al-Nassr matches. Sadio Mané also started in the lineup for the Saudi club, and he seemed to have taken notes from the Portuguese star. When celebrating, the former Liverpool forward imitated Ronaldo's celebration style.
Thanks to a goal from Sultan Al Ghanam, who struck a bouncing ball nicely, and a headed goal from Seko Fofana, Al-Nassr also took a 3-0 lead before half-time. An own goal from Abdullah Madu meant that the score remained 3-1 both at half-time and at the final whistle. With this result, Al-Nassr secures a spot in the tournament's semi-finals.
