Real Madrid wins battle for Turkish top talent Güler

Arda Güler chooses a future at Real Madrid. The eighteen-year-old top talent from Fenerbahçe was attracting interest from the entire European elite, but prefers to join the Royal Whites. Güler signs a six-year contract in the Spanish capital.

Güler had plenty of clubs to choose from after his eye-catching breakthrough at Fenerbahçe. The young Turk stood out with his dribbles and clever passes.

It comes as no surprise that he has often been compared to Mesut Özil. Real is reportedly paying around twenty million euros for Güler, who had a release clause of 17.5 million in his contract with Fenerbahçe.

The signing of Güler aligns with Real Madrid's transfer policy of bringing in top players (in the making) to Estadio Santiago Bernabéu at an early stage. Güler will be the next promising youngster to be brought in with high expectations, following the likes of Vinícius Júnior (22), Rodrygo (22), Eduardo Camavinga (20), Aurélien Tchouameni (23), and Jude Bellingham (20).

Barcelona, Sevilla, AC Milan, and Arsenal were among the clubs that showed interest in Güler, but the talent has decided to join Real Madrid's future plans. Güler will be presented at Real Madrid on Friday afternoon.
