There seems a good chance that Perr Schuurs has now played his last game for Italian Torino. The central defender is reportedly coveted by several top clubs, his employer reportedly demanding a fee of 40 million euros. From England, a candidate has now reportedly made an offer that comes awfully close to that asking price.

Indeed, Italy's DAZN reported on Tuesday that Crystal Palace has submitted a €35 million bid to Turin's second club. The Premier League number eleven of last season thus hopes to beat off competition from reportedly Napoli and Liverpool. Schuurs himself is said to be open to the London club: in fact, he is said to have already personally agreed on a four-year contract.
Ajax received over 9 million euros for Schuurs last summer, who was acquired from Fortuna Sittard for 2 million in the winter of 2018. In Amsterdam, he only grew into a regular in his third season. He would eventually make the move to Italy after 95 games in the main squad (three goals).
In the Serie A, Schuurs impressed last season. On behalf of Torino, he would play 33 games, in which the win away from AC Milan in the eighth final of the Coppa Italia particularly stood out. In the winter months, the defender was already being linked with Atlético Madrid, and this summer Napoli and Liverpool seemed likely to make work of his arrival.
