Dutch clubs have been able to indicate to the KNVB since the introduction of the change agenda that they want to reschedule a match, to maximize the chance of European success.
Ajax, AZ, FC Twente, and PSV opted for this choice. As a result, the matches Ajax - FC Volendam, PSV - Go Ahead Eagles, FC Twente - Vitesse, and AZ - Heracles Almelo from round 3 were only scheduled for this week.
However, due to the postponement of The Classic, Ajax - FC Volendam was canceled in the schedule. After all, The Classic was played on Wednesday afternoon, while the league match from round 3 was scheduled for Wednesday evening. In this overview, we therefore provide the scores from Ajax - Feyenoord from round 6 and the scores of the rescheduled matches from round 3.
In The Classic, Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez performed exceptionally well over two matches. In the 0-4 record victory, he was involved in every goal and accounted for a hat-trick. It was he who, with his third in Amsterdam - a unique achievement - shattered the last bit of hope for Ajax. He was rewarded with a 9 for that. The negative standout is Anton Gaaei, who made mistake after mistake leading up to the postponement of the match and received a 3.5. However, Ajax coach Maurice Steijn is half a point above that.
