Micky van de Ven is going like a rocket and could potentially make a transfer this upcoming summer. In an interview with VI, the VfL Wolfsburg defender certainly doesn't make a secret of it.
Van de Ven has just finished his second year at Wolfsburg. Several top clubs are now being linked to him. "Of course, I have heard and read about it. But as I said before, the media also need something to write about," said the defender from Wormer.
One of the mentioned clubs is Liverpool. Interestingly, former director Jörg Schmadtke is now working at Anfield. "There are naturally many people making connections. It's true that the director went there, and I know that Liverpool had been following me before. But at the moment, I don't know anything. Do I think Liverpool is a great club? Absolutely!"
"If a great club comes along with a clear plan for me, then I could consider taking a step. In that sense, I am open to it. There is a chance that I will continue playing in the Bundesliga after this summer, but there is also a chance that I make a transfer. We will see. First, let's finish this season."
