According to German reports, Liverpool has serious interest in Donyell Malen. The Borussia Dortmund forward has started the season strongly, and Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp sees him as a welcome addition.
BILD reports that Liverpool is seriously in the market for the Dutchman. Reportedly, Borussia Dortmund's asking price is sixty million euros. This is not the first time Liverpool has had Malen in their sights. Sky Deutschland reported in 2021 that Liverpool had approached Malen when he was still playing for PSV.
Malen has carried over his good form from the end of last season into the current one. Starting from April, his goal production began to seriously pick up. In the last nine Bundesliga matches of the season, the winger accounted for seven goals and three assists. This season, he has started with three goals from five matches.
At the moment, Liverpool already has quite a depth in their forward positions. Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, Luís Diaz, and Darwin Núñez would be the main competitors for Malen should Liverpool indeed follow through this upcoming winter.
