Mohammed Kudus has only played one minute for West Ham United, but he already has a very loyal fan at the London club. The travel-loving West Ham supporter, Ian, decided to travel to Ghana especially for Kudus and was surprised by the former Ajax player.
On Thursday evening, Kudus played a starring role in Ghana's home victory over the Central African Republic, ensuring The Black Stars' participation in the final round of the Africa Cup early next year. In the first half, West Ham's summer acquisition scored from a free-kick.
In the stands of the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, West Ham fan Ian was a noticeable presence. Even before the match, the Englishman was spotted by local media, and he stated that he had boarded the plane specifically for Kudus.
The West Ham supporter spent about 12.5 hours on the plane and traveled approximately 7,500 kilometers from London to see Kudus in action. The Ghanaian international recently made his debut as a substitute for West Ham in the match against Luton Town. When the former Ajax player learned that he had a visitor from London, he decided to meet Ian and hand over his match shirt. The Ghanaian Football Association shared photos of the encounter on their social media accounts.
