Kudus in top form at West Ham: 'This is only the beginning'

Mohammed Kudus is in excellent form at West Ham United. The former Ajax player has scored three goals and provided one assist in his last five league matches, but according to him, he has not reached his peak yet.

Kudus also quickly secured the opening goal in the home match against Crystal Palace. The Ghanaian scored after a pulled-back cross from Vladimír Coufal.

'It's always good to score early in the game; it gives the team momentum and energy. It was also a beautiful assist from Vlad,' Kudus said on the club's website.

The midfielder has fully adapted to the Premier League after his move from Eredivisie. 'Everyone at the club has helped me settle here. All credit to the team, my teammates, and the staff. I believe in myself and put a lot of energy into it.

This is only the beginning, and I feel I can offer much more. So, I keep working day in and day out to be the best version of myself.'

Despite Kudus' goal, West Ham United ultimately lost the lead. According to Kudus, this was unnecessary. 'We were looking for a second goal, but Crystal Palace was a strong team. In matches like these, we expect more from ourselves. When there are few chances in a game, you need to play compact and defend better to eventually win the game with a minimal difference.'
