Doué was also of interest to Bayern Munich, one of Europe’s top clubs, which underscores the level of talent and potential the young winger possesses.

However, according to French media, the 19-year-old opted for a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) last week, a decision that highlights PSG's continued appeal to rising stars. Following his decision, PSG had to negotiate terms with his former club, Stade Rennes, which took some time to finalize. With the agreement now secured, Doué has officially signed a five-year contract with the French champions. This long-term deal reflects PSG’s confidence in Doué’s ability to contribute significantly to the team’s future success. Reportedly, the transfer fee, including bonuses, amounts to over fifty million euros, making it a significant investment for PSG in their quest to maintain their dominance in French football and to compete at the highest level in Europe.

Doué is highly regarded in France as one of the most promising young talents. The French youth international, who has Ivorian roots, had a breakthrough season with Rennes last year. He made a strong impression in Ligue 1, scoring four goals and providing five assists, which showcased his ability to make a decisive impact in games. His performances did not go unnoticed, and he was subsequently called up by Thierry Henry to join the French squad for the Paris Olympics. In the tournament, Doué played a crucial role in helping France secure the silver medal, further cementing his reputation as a player to watch in the coming years.

The acquisition of Doué represents PSG's first significant move in strengthening their attacking options following the high-profile departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid on a free transfer. Doué’s arrival is seen as a strategic addition to PSG’s squad, as the club looks to rebuild and enhance its attacking depth.

Earlier this summer, PSG also made substantial investments in other areas of the team. They secured Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov from Krasnodar, defender Willian Pacho from Eintracht Frankfurt, and midfielder João Neves from Benfica, spending a combined total of 120 million euros on these three players. These signings indicate PSG’s determination to bolster their squad across all positions, aiming for both domestic and European success in the upcoming seasons.
