Fortuna Sittard strengthens its ranks with Sadik Fofana. The twenty-year-old defender is being loaned from Bayer Leverkusen.

Fofana played in the Second Bundesliga last season. 'After a period at 1. FC Nürnberg, I wanted to take the next step to gain experience,' he stated on the club's website. 'Fortuna offers me that opportunity in a beautiful league. I hope to further develop as a person and as a footballer in the coming season.'
The German youth international will wear jersey number 3 in Sittard. 'Sadik is a talented, physically strong German youth international,' said technical manager Americo Branco. 'He can play in multiple defensive positions.'
Three years ago, Fofana left the academy of Alemmania Aachen to join Bayer Leverkusen's academy. He is still waiting for his debut in the first team there. Earlier, Fortuna Sittard secured the arrivals of Mitchell Dijks, Loreintz Rosier, Luuk Koopmans, Alen Halilovic, and Mouhamed Belkheir.
