Carlo Ancelotti spoke this Thursday about Kylian Mbappé's arrival at Real Madrid, admitting that he has not yet thought about how he will introduce the French forward into the attack of the European and Spanish champions, along with players like Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham.
"Honestly, I haven't thought about it yet, but fitting Mbappé into the team won't be a problem. It's important to remember what he said [during his presentation], that he will adapt to the team. The key point is that every player has to put their talent at the service of the team," he pointed out, live on the podcast "The Obi One," hosted by former Nigerian international John Obi Mikel.
In the conversation, the Italian coach also revealed what he said to the former PSG star on the day he was presented at Santiago Bernabéu stadium: “Two things. First, I welcomed him, because the way he was received by Real Madrid and the fans was exceptional. The second was to rest and go on vacation, because it was a very long season for the players.”
Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer after seven seasons in Paris, will report to the Spanish capital on August 8th. It is likely that he will make his debut for Real in the UEFA Super Cup on the 14th, against Italian side Atalanta, the Europa League champions.
