Kolo Muani joined from FC Nantes last summer but struggled to find the net in the Bundesliga. Nonetheless, his World Cup appearance led to a top transfer to PSG. However, this transfer didn't come without difficulties. Initially, Eintracht didn't want to let Kolo Muani go because they couldn't secure a replacement. The French striker decided to strike and eventually forced through his desired move.

Before the home match against FC Köln, a large banner was displayed at Eintracht's stadium. It read, 'Money doesn't change character. It only makes it visible.' The fanbase of the Bundesliga tenth-placed team accuses Kolo Muani of choosing big money over loyalty.

"It's a pity, but I'm not interested in talking about the player anymore. Randal is history," Markus Krösche said after the match against Köln to Bild. The sporting director, who no longer had time to bring in a replacement, expressed his surprise at the different closing times of the transfer window. In Germany, the transfer window didn't end at midnight on Friday but at 6:00 PM. "That can't be."

Interestingly, Krösche found support from Steffen Baumgart, the coach of Köln. Baumgart was particularly surprised by Kolo Muani's strike and pointed to his entourage. "The biggest problem in football is that there are too many people who are in it for the money and not for the team and the club. It's clear that this cannot happen."

The encounter at the Deutsche Bank Park ended in a draw. The visitors were on track for a victory with a converted penalty by Florian Kainz, but Niels Nkounkou secured a point for Eintracht in the very last moments (1-1).
