Frenkie de Jong is one of the captains of Barcelona. That makes the midfielder proud.

Barcelona appoints multiple captains as a standard practice. Sergi Roberto is the first captain, replacing Sergio Busquets, Marc-André Ter Stegen is the second, and De Jong is the third. 'I am very proud to be one of the captains. That feels good,' De Jong says via Barça channels. Ronald Araújo is also one of the captains.
De Jong is with Barcelona in Vegas, preparing for the new season. On Wednesday, they will face AC Milan. 'Last year, we played a spectacular match in Vegas, hopefully, we can repeat that. We have trained hard for the match against Milan. They reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.'
Barcelona will play against Milan on Wednesday and will face Tottenham next Tuesday in the Trofeu Joan Gamper competition. A few days later, on August 13, La Liga starts with an away match against Getafe.
