Cuadrado completes controversial transfer within Italy

Juan Cuadrado is a player for Internazionale. The 35-year-old Colombian signs with Giuseppe Meazza for one season and arrives as a free transfer from Juventus, making the move from black and white to black and blue.

The transfer is controversial: Inter and Juventus don't have the best relationship, as evidenced by the reactions of a group of Juventus supporters to the news that Romelu Lukaku might be heading in the opposite direction of Cuadrado.

Even the Nerazzurri fans are not entirely pleased with their newest acquisition: a group of ultras has even requested a special meeting with Cuadrado to instill in him the core values of their club.

Whether that meeting will take place remains to be seen, but the deal is done. Cuadrado came to Europe from his home country in 2009 and never looked back. After stints at Udinese, Lecce, and Fiorentina, he joined Chelsea in early 2015. Cuadrado didn't find much success in London, which was followed by eight years at Juventus and now Inter. His resume boasts one Premier League title, five Serie A titles, and two bronze medals with Colombia in the Copa América. In Milan, Cuadrado will be a right-back competing with Denzel Dumfries.
