The transfer of Dembélé to PSG has yet to be officially confirmed, but behind the scenes, Barcelona is already making moves. Sources confirm that Xavi has been advocating for the arrival of the 28-year-old attacking midfielder for some time now.

President Joan Laporta and sporting directors Mateu Alemany and Deco have also given their approval.

At the Spanish champions, they are exploring the best financial arrangement to pry Silva away from City. The player himself is reportedly very interested in making the move. He has previously expressed his desire to return to Southern Europe. Pep Guardiola has promised him that City will cooperate with a transfer if a reasonable offer comes in. Barcelona is counting on the manager to keep that promise.

Silva previously played for Benfica and AS Monaco. He won the English Premier League title five times with City and clinched the Champions League trophy with The Citizens last season. His contract in Manchester runs until mid-2025.
