Mario Balotelli could not resist informing his former coach Vincenzo Montella of his successful return to Adana Demirspor. The Italian found the net twice on Sunday for Patrick Kluivert's team.

The now 33-year-old Balotelli recently returned for a second stint with Adana Demirspor, where he was also active in the 2021/22 season. In his first appearance for the Turkish club since his return, the striker immediately showed his best side.
Balotelli did not want his goals to go unnoticed by his ex-coach Montella, with whom he worked during his first period in Turkey at Adana. Super Mario posted a photo of himself on Instagram and also mentioned Montella's Instagram account: '@coachmontellaofficial ......?' wrote Balotelli.
Montella wanted to confront his compatriot Balotelli in August of last year after a home victory of Adana over Umraniyespor. The striker was not given a starting place in that match, but came on as a substitute. Balotelli then said something to Montella on the field after the match, at which point the former striker of, among others, Sampdoria and AS Roma became furious. Not long after, Balotelli left Turkey and sought refuge with FC Sion in Switzerland. His time in Switzerland was characterized by various incidents.
