Sofyan Amrabat finally secures his desired transfer on Deadline Day. The Moroccan international is making the move to Erik ten Hag's Manchester United, which, according to Italian media and The Athletic, has reached an agreement with Fiorentina.
Amrabat had been linked to United throughout the entire summer, but the transfer just couldn't get off the ground. It wasn't until the final day of the transfer window that both clubs reached a deal.
The 27-year-old midfielder is being loaned from Fiorentina for ten million euros, with an option to buy for twenty million euros.
With this move, Ten Hag has finally secured his desired midfield reinforcement. Amrabat had been the primary candidate all summer and had not been playing for Fiorentina in anticipation of a transfer. Now, the transfer saga on Deadline Day has finally come to an end.
Last winter, Amrabat was also one of the main characters on the transfer deadline day. A deal with Barcelona fell through at that time, much to the dissatisfaction of the 49-time Moroccan international. Half a year later, the former player of FC Utrecht, Feyenoord, and Club Brugge has finally landed his top transfer.
