Until last month, Maldini was working as the technical director at Milan. However, the club broke ties with the iconic figure due to differences in opinions with the new owners regarding the future direction of the club, much to the dismay of the passionate Rossoneri fans.

According to Sky Sport Italia, PSG and the FIGC see an opportunity now that Maldini is a free man. The 55-year-old former Italian international could take up a position in the management in Paris, and the national football federation also envisions an important role for the iconic former defender.

As per the reports from Italy, it's not yet clear if Maldini is inclined towards either of the two offers. Currently, Milan's record-holder is enjoying his vacation and is in no hurry to make a decision.

PSG's interest in Maldini is not entirely new. Ten years ago, the Milanese legend was already linked to a technical role in Paris. At the moment, the transfer policy is under the responsibility of technical advisor Luis Campos.
